Vladivostok is Russia's largest port city on the Pacific Ocean and the administrative center of Primorsky Krai. It is situated at the head of the Golden Horn Bay ("Zolotoy Rog" in Russian), not far from Russia's border with China and North Korea. It is the home port of the Russian Pacific Fleet. Vladivostok is the most eastern point of the Trans Siberian Railway, which is 9302 km from Moscow. The name Vladivostok is translated from Russian as "Overlord of the East": *vladet’* (means "to own, to posses") and vostok (means "east").

"The master of taiga" - Tour to Spassk-Dalny (zoological center of Amur tigers)

The Siberian tiger (Panthera tigris altaica), also known as the Amur or Ussuri tiger, is a subspecies of tiger which once ranged throughout Western Asia, Central Asia and eastern Russia. Traditionally this tiger is considered as the biggest subspecies of tiger in the world.
