You definitely will be amazed by these two gorgeous cities. On the day of your arrival you will be met by our
friendly and polite driver at the arrival hall of the airport. The driver will
take you to the hotel where you’ll check-in and leave your luggage. Walking City tour During this walking tour you will see the most famous and remarkable sights of the city such as Red Square with The Kremlin and and St. Basil’s Cathedral. Also, you will see Lenin’s Mausoleum, History Museum and Trading Arcades of GUM. You will be also taken to The Temple of Christ the Saviour, New Maiden’s Convent, Sparrow Hills, Bolshoy Theatre, etc. This excursion will give you a city overview and acquaint you with the history of Moscow. After the tour, you will be able to relax in the Alexander Garden and have a supper in one of the numerous restaurants. 2nd Day – Discovering more: Enjoy your breakfast and get ready for another day in the Gold-Domed Capital of Russia! Our guide will meet you at the reception of your hotel with the sign with your name on it and you will start your day tour from there. Combined tour: Moscow Metro & Old Moscow tour + visiting Novodevichiy Convent This tour will start at the place of your
accommodation and you will be taken by your guide to the first line of Moscow metro which was opened
in 1935 and connected 13 stations. At present Moscow metro has about 150 stations, but you
will stop and get off only at the most beautiful ones. You will also visit the
old part of Moscow
– you will walk down the Old Arbat, a picturesque pedestrian street where you
can stop to watch one of the many street entertainers, buy souvenirs and see a
few historical buildings still remained there among the numerous boutiques,
bars and restaurants. 3rd Day – Farewell to Moscow: Check-out from the hotel and enjoy your breakfast. Get ready for another day in Moscow. Our guide will meet you at the reception of your hotel with the sign with your name on it and you will get acquainted with the official residence of the President of Russian Federation – the Moscow Kremlin. This guided tour is devoted to the Kremlin. During the tour you will observe Moscow from Borovitsky Hill, the place of the city’s first settlement dating to the 12th century. You will also visit the Cathedral Square with its magnificent architectural ensemble of the 15th – 17th centuries. You will walk along the Kremlin walls and towers and also see the Bell Tower of Ivan the Terrible, the Tsar’s Bell that never rang and the Tsar Cannon that never shot. And, of course, you will admire the building of The Grand Kremlin Palace that was the Tsars’ Palace in the past and is the government residence at present from outside and inside. After the Kremlin, you will see The Armoury Chamber - a treasure-house, part of the Grand Kremlin Palace’s complex. The Armoury Chamber preserves Russian ancient state regalia, ceremonial tsar’s vestments and coronation dress, vestments of the Russian Orthodox Church’s hierarchs, the largest collection of gold and silverware by Russian craftsmen, West European artistic silver, ceremonial weapons and arms, carriages, horse ceremonial harness. The State Armoury Chamber presents more than four thousands items of applied art of Russia, European and Eastern countries of IV-early XX centuries. The highest artistic level and particular historical and cultural value of the exhibits have made the State Armoury of the Moscow Kremlin a world-wide known museum. After the tour, you will be transferred to the railway station to take a train to Saint Petersburg. 4th Day – Welcome to Saint Petersburg: You will be met by our friendly and polite driver at the railway station. The driver will take you to the hotel where you’ll check-in and leave your luggage. After checking in you can enjoy lunch at the hotel’s restaurant (optional) or just rest for a while and get ready for the walking city tour. Walking City tour with visit to the Church of Savior on the Spilt Blood During this Walking City Tour you will see the most famous and remarkable sights of the city such as Nevsky Prospect, Palace Square, Admiralty, Saint Basil Point, Peter-and-Paul Fortress, Summer Garden, Field of Mars, etc. This excursion will give you a city overview and acquaint you with the history of St. Petersburg. You will also see the interior of Church of the Resurrection - also known as a “Church of Saviour on the Spilt Blood”, was erected on the place where the Emperor Alexander II was assassinated. It’s the church of dramatic history, impressive domes and magnificent mosaic panels. The church is located on the Griboedova canal embankment, not far from Nevsky prospect. In the evening enjoy a music festival performance or opera and ballet upon your choice at world famous Saint Petersburg music halls and theatres (optional). Or try original Russian cuisine in one of the so many to choose restaurants. Do not hesitate to contact us if you need an advice. 5th Day - Historical Heritage of the Venice of the North: Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and get ready for another day in the romantic city of the Venice of the North! Our guide will meet you at the reception of your hotel with the sign with your name on it and you will start your day tour from there. Combined tour: Hermitage Museum & Boat Trip to Peterhof This combined tour offers you the excursion to one of the most significant museums in the world - The State Hermitage Museum which will be followed by the trip (by hydrofoil boat or by car/mini van in winter) to one of the most beautiful surroundings of St. Petersburg – Peterhof. So, firstly you will be introduced to the main rooms and expositions of the largest museum of Russia and one of the most significant museums in the world. Besides the magnificent interiors of Winter Palace visitors can also enjoy one of the largest collection of paintings of foreign and Russian artists. Moreover, you can explore the art of Ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Classical Greece and etc. and examine objects of Western European applied art, weapons, coins, medals, books (Voltaire’s library) and a lot of other remarkable things. To understand better the extent of this museum we can comment that it would take a visitor almost 15 years to appreciate all the treasures the museum houses. Then you will take a boat or car/mini van to Peterhof - the former summer residence of Peter the Great where you will admire the picturesque Lower Gardens (Park) with spectacular fountains, the Grand Palace and numerous smaller Palaces and pavilions representing "Russian Versailles" (such as Monplaisir Palace, Marly Palace, Hermitage Pavilion, Catherine’s Block, etc.) There are two different ways of getting to Peterhof from St. Petersburg. The usual way is by car/mini van. But the most exciting way is definitely by hydrofoil boat. However, this option is available only between 9th of May and 30th of September. 6th Day - Gold and teal colour Check-out from the hotel and enjoy your breakfast. Get ready for another day in the romantic city of the Venice of the North! Our guide will meet you at the reception of your hotel with the sign with your name on it and you will start your day tour from there. Guided tour to Tsarskoe selo (Pushkin) During this guided tour (by car/mini van) you will get acquainted to one of the former imperial summer residence. You will enjoy the exterior and interior of Catherine’s Palace which is considered to be one of the world’s architectural masterpieces and walk in the romantic park that surrounds this palace. You will have a guided tour around marvelous rooms of the palace, including the Grand Hall decorated with gilded wood carving and mirrors; and, of course, you will admire the magnificent Amber Room (that was newly opened in May 2003 after 25 years of reconstruction). After the tour, you will be transferred to the airport to take your flight home. Now it’s time to say goodbye to Mother Russia but we hope to see you again sometime in the future! |
